Complete global view of transmission lines, substations, and gas pipelines now unified in Neon with PostGIS geometry โ covering three continents and refreshed quarterly
DC Hub has launched its global_infrastructure unified database view โ a single, production-ready dataset covering more than 1.29 million energy infrastructure records across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). The dataset consolidates transmission lines, substations, and natural gas pipelines into one queryable layer, giving AI platforms, developers, and enterprise customers access to the most comprehensive global power infrastructure dataset available today.
The United States layer provides voltage-level detail, operator attribution, and state-level classification across 52,244 transmission lines, 79,754 substations, and 917 gas pipelines. Site selectors and grid analysts can query transmission access, voltage class, and operator ownership across all major ISO territories in milliseconds.
The EMEA layer โ DC Hub's largest regional dataset to date โ spans 286,907 transmission lines, 563,727 substations, and 32,077 gas pipelines across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with PostGIS geometry enabling precise proximity queries across dozens of countries. The APAC layer extends coverage to 188,185 transmission lines, 80,950 substations, and 3,513 gas pipelines across fast-growing markets including Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
All three regions are accessible through a single global_infrastructure view, built on Neon PostgreSQL with PostGIS geometry. The first quarterly refresh is scheduled for July 1, 2026.
