## Explosive Growth in Data Center Intelligence Coverage

DC Hub's Data Center Power Index (DCPI) platform expanded coverage by **197 new markets** in the past seven days, bringing total tracked markets to **286 across 170+ countries**. The 221.3% week-over-week jump marks the largest single-week expansion in the platform's history, driven by accelerating demand for granular, market-level power and constraint intelligence.

MCP API tool calls climbed **24.6% week-over-week to 126,417**, while the developer community grew by 4 new participants (19.0% increase) to 25 total. The platform now tracks 126,273 substations globally, adding 188 new grid connections in the same period.

## What the Expansion Unlocks

The new markets span emerging data center hubs in secondary and tertiary ISOs, extending DCPI's lead as the most comprehensive real-time power availability dataset in the industry. Today's index shows **Cheyenne, WY** (WECC) holding the top Excess Power score at 69.5, followed by **Rural SPP, KS** at 67.2 and **Midlothian, TX** (ERCOT) at 65.6.

On the constraint side, **Mount Pleasant, WI** (MISO) registers an 80.0 constraint score despite 55.0 excess capacity—a signal of localized grid bottlenecks that developers and operators are now querying in real time via the platform's API.

## Methodology

DC Hub's DCPI combines ISO transmission data, substation capacity modeling, and facility-level telemetry to generate daily Excess Power and Constraint scores for every tracked market. Scores range 0–100; higher Excess = more available power, higher Constraint = greater interconnection risk.
