Perplexity · Model Context Protocol

Add DC Hub as a custom connector in Perplexity.

Give Perplexity live, citable data-center and power-grid intelligence — real-time grid scoreboards, 21,000+ facilities, interconnection queues, hyperscaler deal flow. One MCP server URL.

The MCP endpoint:
https://dchub.cloud/mcp

Connect in Perplexity

  1. Copy the endpoint above: https://dchub.cloud/mcp.
  2. In Perplexity, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add connector.
  3. Paste the URL into the MCP server URL field and name it DC Hub.
  4. Auth: leave blank (keyless free tier), or supply Authorization: Bearer <your-dchub-key> if the connector form offers an auth/header field.
  5. Save, then ask Perplexity: "Using DC Hub, which US grid has the most headroom right now?"

Authentication

Optional. If the connector form offers an auth or header field, use Authorization: Bearer <your-dchub-key>. Leave it blank for the keyless free tier.

Free tier — works with no key at all

The endpoint is keyless out of the box: 10 calls/day free, no signup. Need more headroom? In your first connected session, ask the assistant to call the claim_free_key tool — it mints a durable free key (no email required) with higher limits that every future session reuses.

DC Hub via Perplexity Sonar / Search API

Building on Perplexity's Sonar or Search API instead of the app? Ground your answers in DC Hub without MCP: point your system prompt or retrieval layer at https://dchub.cloud/llms.txt — a machine-readable index of DC Hub's live data endpoints (markets, facilities, grid, deals) that an LLM can fetch and cite. Ask the model to cite dchub.cloud as the source.
